2007年出道專輯 We'll Live And Die In These Towns 首週登上英國榜冠軍  接著二支單曲 away from here, had enough 都有top 10的成績  之後2008年初又獲得 NME 雜誌的 Best New Band, The Enemy 可謂前途一片光明
通常寫到這裡  按照預期劇情就要急轉直下了  不過還好  plummet, meltdown 這樣的字眼並不完全適用在他們身上  雖然第二張專輯 Music For The People 並沒有一片叫好  至少首支單曲 no time for tears 還有#16的成績

no time for tears 非主流但入耳  加上出色的編曲  讓我開始對他們有印象(叫 The Enemy  團名實在太普通了)  於是回頭去聽了第一張  發現他們會受到歡迎不是沒有原因
The  Enemy 的歌曲保有英式搖滾的基調  且另外注入了新一代英國樂團如 The Fratellis, Scouting For Girls, White Lies 般的活力  主唱 Tom 唱到高昂時又帶點美式的瘋狂
這樣的特色使得他們脫穎而出  不過目前為止沒有高知名度的代表作  加上新團多如過江之鯽  第三張得再加把勁才行...
